Charlie Dimmock's Blooming Great
As usual, TV gardener and personality Charlie Dimmock brought a smile to people's faces at the RHS Barchester in Bloom Awards ceremony. Gardening celebrity Charlie Dimmock presented awards at the glittering final ceremony in London to the winners of the competition, which promotes the creation of positive outdoor environments at Barchester care homes. This yearly event encourages residents to actively get in involved with the gardening, whether it's looking after a small window box to maintaining the lawn! Britain in Bloom in organised by the RHS and is the largest horticulture competition in Europe . Every year, hundreds of communities get involved, from rural villages to large cities. Police Bravery Awards 2008
Copland-Cale Photography was on hand to capture the Police Bravery Awards in London on Thursday 10 July. The day started with a group shot with Prime Minster Gordon Brown at 10 Downing Street before heading over to the awards ceremony, run by the Police Federation in conjunction The Sun newspaper. Police officers gathered to hear that their courageous colleague PC Richard Gray, who gave his life so fellow officers could escape with theirs, had been given the highest award at The Sun-backed Police Bravery Awards. The evening came to an emotional climax as Richard, who died aged 43, and his colleague Mathew Crisp, 31, of West Mercia police, were named the bravest of the brave at the awards organised with the Police Federation. Mathew received a standing ovation as he collected the award along with Richard's widow Jennifer as Home Secretary Jacqui Smith looked on. |

Smile for the Camera: Barchester Healthcare Awards
Fiona Philips from GMTV brought a smile to the recent Barchester Healthcare's Awards' evening that recognises the selfless work of staff at their care homes around the country. This yearly event focused on the difficulty of Alzheimer's disease and the new medical research in caring for this.
As usual, TV presenter Fiona Philips brought a smile with her bubble personality.

| Having a Shoot Out' for Charity
On 13 June, Graham Copland-Cale (left image) spent the day at Bisley Shooting Ground on Surrey Heath shooting' Manchester City 's defender Danny Mills and Patron for the Association for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus ( ASBAH) , at a event held by a Swiss Bank for the charity.
ASBAH is the leading UK registered charity providing information and advice about spina bifida and hydrocephalus to individuals, families and carers.
Graham managed to shoot a few clays at the end of the event and surprised everyone by showing that his only shooting skills wasn't through a lens! In the final competition it was a draw between Danny and Graham and Danny got the winning shot!

Graham Copland-Cale was on hand to photograph TV gardener Charlie Dimmock at the Barchester Healthcare's summer event that recognises the best kept garden in their care homes around the country. This yearly event encourages resident to actively get in involved with the gardening, whether it's looking after a small window box to maintaining the lawn!
The Barchester Healthcare Foundation helps older people and other adults with a disability across England , Scotland and Wales . It aims to make difference by supporting practical solutions that lead to increased personal independence, self-sufficiency and dignity.
