Cherkley Court

Cherkley Court is a Grade II listed French Chateau Style property dating back to 1894. Until recently it was the country home of the Beaverbrook Family. The estate comprises 380 acres, including 120 acres of woodland.

In 2003 the house and refurbished gardens were opened to the public, but this uneconomic venture came to an end when the estate was sold in 2010.

In April 2011 Longshot acquired Cherkley Court.

Since acquiring Cherkley Court, Longshot has also bought Mickleham Downs Estate (with cottages and 20 additional acres), which was the former staff quarters to Cherkley Court.

Longshot’s vision for the whole estate is to create a ‘world class’ 5 Star Hotel including the highest quality Food & Beverage operations, a Health Club & Spa and a Cookery School. In addition an exclusive private members Golf Course would be created utilising the natural contours of the open landscape.
